The “FahrMit Inzersdorf” ride-sharing platform begins regular operations

After a one-year pilot phase, the carpooling platform “FahrMit Inzersdorf” will transition to regular operation starting in September. PKE is also part of the initiative, which connects employees from various companies within the industrial park and facilitates the formation of carpools via the FluidLife app.

The goal of the carpooling platform is to coordinate commutes, make better use of existing vehicles, and thereby provide a practical complement to existing mobility options. Especially in a large industrial park like Inzersdorf, carpooling can help reduce individual car trips and parking demand.

At PKE, FluidLife is actively used in internal communications to draw attention to current mobility issues. For example, during the Badner Bahn service suspension, we specifically encouraged our employees to use our ride-sharing tool in the FluidLife app, offer open seats, and work together to find alternative travel options.

Joint initiatives also create additional incentives to try out the service and integrate carpooling into daily work routines over the long term. For instance, employees in the “FahrMit Inzersdorf” community were able to earn points for completed rides and secure a gas voucher after just three trips.

The transition from the pilot project to regular operation is an important next step. We look forward to continuing to actively integrate FluidLife at PKE and, together with the participating companies and partners, supporting new approaches to collaborative and more sustainable mobility within the industrial park.
